I moved to an area I’ve never fished. I’ve done big Cats in Oklahoma, Bass in West Texas, and sight fishing trout in West Virginia. I was not prepared for brackish water and inshore saltwater. I had zero fishing equipment because it all seemed to just walk away after a few years of being stored at families. I thought my best bet would be a couple of the mystery boxes and a recommended rod combo from a local store. The area I started was close to my house. I thought it was just fresh water but I couldn’t catch a thing. I saw flounder be caught and I heard there where gar and redfish… I managed to catch a bait thief(pin fish)and a couple crab, and hang out with a baby gator for a few hours but couldn’t catch anything else. I’m still learning the area and extending my range of fishing area but most of the stuff I got in those first boxes are just not working. I think one was a bass box and one was an inshore saltwater water box. I’m still open to try another but maybe next year. I’ve spent way to much on gear for one year… the boat put me waay over my current fishing budget.

Bought this multiple times for son in law but am reconsidering now. Used to be able to do a 3 month subscription now seems four. We have a basic $100 price range, why change the number?

By far the best bang for the buck in the MTB collection! Obviously like any mystery box there may be some things that don't fit your current style (or may never use) in the box but everything in this monster collection is definitely quality bait and tackle that really does work together, not just a random box of overstock or discontinued crap. I actually like the variety because it gets me to try things I would probably never try otherwise. Will definitely buy again!

Its not that expensive, very fun to open and see what all u get also I recommend doing the monthly option, then ur tackle box never runs out.
