Mystery Tackle Box is pleased to announce the Fishery Conservation Scholarship. This essay based scholarship, in the amount of $1,000, is offered annually in the name of Mystery Tackle Box, to a single recipient who submits the winning essay, judged on merit by a selection committee of employees from Mystery Tackle Box.

The Future of Sustainable Fishing Practices
You have free reign. Research and write your essay from the perspective of how people today can work to develop sustainable fishing practices that will protect important fisheries and allow them to sustain life for another 100 years.
Mystery Tackle Box selection committee will grade essays based on creativity, originality, quality and relevance towards fishery conservation and protection for future generations.
Deadline: September, 30th 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time.

- Maximum: 2,000 words
Award: One winner will be selected by November 15, 2016 to receive the $1,000 scholarship.
Mystery Tackle Box is challenging students to think critically and creatively about how we can protect fisheries, develop sustainable practices and ensure the worlds important fisheries exist 100 years from now. Any student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any accredited college or university seeking a degree in Natural Resource Management, Fishery Conversation, Marine Biology or related field are qualified to apply by submitting a 1,000 to 2,000-word essay. Additionally, all participants must be 18 years of age or older and a legal U.S. resident.
